Those Who Are Considering Joining ricktsai.com!!!!!
I've been a member since January 05. I wanted to give some helpful
feedback type info for the Docs deciding whether or not to join.
My situation when I signed on was about average, I'm a solo
doc practicing in a small 700 sq feet, 2nd floor office with
no signage. seeing about 100 PV/ week.
I had been in practice for about 6 years. I had Just ended a
contract with a practice coach who I felt had taught me all
I was willing to learn from him.
I was looking for something a bit different. When I came across
ricktsai.com it was kinda by accident. I thought it was something
much different than it turned out to be.
My first thought was, "For $60 buck a month
I'll give it a try, if it doesn't pan out...there is no long
term contract, I can quit if it doesn't work out."
So with a cautious mentality i joined.
At first I didn't even know how to find a post or navigate around
the site. I was just kinda fumbling around, reading random things
here and there.
I'm one of those people who pay other people to work on the
computer for me! I was just one step up from clueless!
It took me about 2 weeks just to find out how to find a post
that I had written, and to read any replies. The first two weeks
I thought "well this is stupid! I can't even find the things
I wrote. How am I gonna use this site If I can't do the simplest
things like finding my own post?"
The other members of the site were really helpful to get a Newbie
like me up and running!
Once I learned how to navigate the site, I was in business!
I must have spent 10-15 hours a week just reading the "Old"
information on the site. I printed out things from the site
that I could do to change in my practice Immediately.
Every couple of days I was implementing something that I thought
could change my office for the better. This went on for about
four months!! There is a lot of information on the site. All
the while I was asking for advice about this or that to Rick.
He's great about getting right back to you with an answer...although
its not always the answer I wanted to hear.
I ordered EVERY SINGLE dvd, CD, and Video tape they were selling.
They gave me an amazing deal for buying it all at once. I'm
still going through the stuff as I write this.
Well, to make a long story shorter... In May of
2005, just 5 months into being a member of the site I had an
incredible breaktrough! I would not have beleive it possible
if I hadn't just done it.
My collections have been pretty steady the last three years
of practice...In May of 2005 I -Doubled- my
average monthly collections. I have a 80% Cash practice so it
wasn't just a bunch of PI checks all coming in at once.
I collect 100% more CASH fees In one month than
the what I typically did for the last 3 years! I
owe that success in large part to the changes that I have made
since I joined ricktsai.com.
Now its not just all roses and champaigne! I had made my share
of blunders too in the last few months. But the
most helpful thing that I have found about the site is that
there is soooooo much stuff on the site that you can pick from,
you don't have to do everything exactly like Rick and still
do fairly well.
I just try to find a steady diet of things to work on. Some
things stick and some things don't. Just the act of doing those
things brings in new energy to the practice that our patients
can feel.
In closing, I found that this site is a valuable tool for Docs
who want to make changes to their practice at their own pace.
The support that you get from Rick is the best
I have personally ever experienced. The other
members are freindly and will help you if you ask. And the price
for membership is really a NON-issue. If you think you can't
afford it, then your probably not going to last long in practice
anyway. The advice that I got from my coach prior
to joining ricktsai.com cost me more than 10X the fee per month
than for this site. Word of caution though, be
prepared to do some work after joining or things aren't likely
to change much.
I hope you docs find this feedback useful in making your descision.
